Brad Jersak is determined to recover the essence of the “beautiful” gospel for all of us. The conspicuous mark that characterizes every page of this winsome witness is that this is a “lived theology.” He has given attentive detail to what is in the theological libraries, but is not content with that. He has worked it out on the streets and in the lives of those with whom he has chosen to share his life and Christlike God witness, a convincingly beautiful Gospel.
EUGENE H. PETERSON
Brad Jersak, has some incredible insight into the Beautiful Gospel of Jesus Christ. Taking the track of non-violent subversion and humility he reveals the true nature of Christ in this video. He presents two frameworks, a legal vs more therapeutic approach to what the Gospel is. I hope you enjoy this video.
If you would like to be challenged further, regarding a non-violent model of Soteriology, in particular “atonement”, then I highly recommend this meaty book he has written called A More Christlike God: A More Beautiful Gospel available as kindle book or physical book http://amzn.to/1sH3kCW. Another yet meatier book is Stricken by God?: Nonviolent Identification and the Victory of Christ, authored by Brad Jersak and Michael Hardin http://amzn.to/1XskPU5. This book is not for the faint of heart. We have added a book review section to Godfuel, so feel free to browse as we recommend incredible perspective and theology that is revolutionary.
Brad Jersak’s 2015 version of the Gospel in Chairs, originally composed by Fr. Anthony Carbo and borrowed by others like Steve Robinson and Brian Zahnd (who re-titled it ‘The Beautiful Gospel’).
