A Maori legend about a giant, man-eating bird has been confirmed by scientists.

Te Hokioi was a huge black-and-white predator with a red crest and yellow-green tinged wingtips, in an account given to Sir George Gray, an early governor of New Zealand.

It was said to be named after its cry and to have "raced the hawk to the heavens".

Give Back to Godfuel Media Ministries

So, this is the part where we tell you how Godfuel wouldn’t exist without a passionate and dedicated group of donors whose generosity allows us to serve youth, hundreds of non-profit organisations, and media makers and artists every year. Godfuels media makers craft stories that travel around the world, into diverse homes and communities, where they educate, motivate, entertain, and build community amongst millions of viewers.

When you make a donation to Godfuel, you are investing in the power of media to make change, and in the power of an innovative non-profit that works hard to support and inspire that change in media maker and audience alike.

We want you to give to Godfuel because you want to, because you believe in what we do and how we do it. We want you to be motivated by the quality of our services, the breadth of our programming, the significance of our results, and the size of our heart.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that we are a non-profit organisation and your donations are also tax-deductible and full of good karma.

There are several ways to invest in Godfuel:

New School: Donate Online using PAYPAL's secure Checkout by using " This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it " or
Old School: Put a check in the mail.

Make checks payable to Godfuel and send to:

Never Goes Out of Style:

Make an in-kind gift.
Make a matching gift.

In-Kind Gifts
We love it when people and/or businesses send us equipment, software and furniture that is in good condition and relevant to our programming (in non-profit talk that’s making an in-kind gift). You can also make a donation of a gift from our Amazon.com wishlist.

Matching Gifts and Sponsorship
There are some do-gooder corporations out there that match donations by their employees. It is a way to make your donation go twice (and sometimes three times) as far. Some corporations also make charitable donations. If yours is one of them, please let them know about Godfuel. We have lots of ways to recognize our corporate supporters (including corporate sponsorship), and we'd love to recognize yours.

For more information on any of these options, please contact Godfuel’s Director of Development Steve Fawcett.

Charles Spurgeon

Morning and Evening

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy upon Jerusalem? ... And the Lord answered the angel ... with good words and comfortable words.”

Zechariah 1:12,13

What a sweet answer to an anxious enquiry! This night let us rejoice in it. O Zion, there are good things in store for thee; thy time of travail shall soon be over; thy children shall be brought forth; thy captivity shall end. Bear patiently the rod for a season, and under the darkness still trust in God, for his love burneth towards thee. God loves the church with a love too deep for human imagination: he loves her with all his infinite heart. Therefore let her sons be of good courage; she cannot be far from prosperity to whom God speaketh “good words and comfortable words.” What these comfortable words are the prophet goes on to tell us: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.” The Lord loves his church so much that he cannot bear that she should go astray to others; and when she has done so, he cannot endure that she should suffer too much or too heavily. He will not have his enemies afflict her: he is displeased with them because they increase her misery. When God seems most to leave his church, his heart is warm towards her. History shows that whenever God uses a rod to chasten his servants, he always breaks it afterwards, as if he loathed the rod which gave his children pain. “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” God hath not forgotten us because he smites—his blows are no evidences of want of love. If this is true of his church collectively, it is of necessity true also of each individual member. You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so: he who counts the stars, and calls them by their names, is in no danger of forgetting his own children. He knows your case as thoroughly as if you were the only creature he ever made, or the only saint he ever loved. Approach him and be at peace.

Pray for Us

"Talking to men for God is a great thing, but talking to God for men is greater still" - E.M. Bounds

We take prayer very seriously here at Godfuel. Weekly, we have the potential audience of thousands who will be hearing the gospel message of Jesus Christ for the first time through our website, DVDs and TV interviews, the World Wide Web, ministry communications or personal ministry in schools, churches, prisons and other venues.

Prayer is critical whether we pray as individuals or in a group setting. For those who feel called to join us in prayer, we view it as a deeply valued team effort. Focused prayer with a singular purpose, the Word tells us, is very powerful (see Matthew 18:18-20). Please join us in prayer, in faith-believing, that souls will come to Jesus or be encouraged towards a deeper walk with Him as a result of all of our ministry efforts. With concerted prayer, we believe Christ's purposes will be glorified in and through us each day.

Whether you are a seasoned prayer partner of Godfuel or are just looking for a way to really bless the ministry, prayer is a huge and appreciated way to really make a difference in lives. Going further, prayer is such a powerful tool that Jesus has given to us that we value it more highly than any other single thing you could do for the ministry.

"The prayer of a righteous man," James wrote, "is powerful and effective." (James 5:16) James 5:13-18 gives us even more instruction on how to go about praying as believers.

"Prayer is weakness leaning on omnipotence." - W.S. Bowden

Speaking Opportunities

Urban_MSN1Get your School / Church / Employer Involved

Since the inception of Godfuel Media Ministries, God has opened some truly amazing doors in order for us to share our story. Giving people hope, wherever God takes us, is our greatest desire. As we tell what God has done for us in a variety of settings, whether in churches, youth groups, schools, hospitals, prisons, to those with disabilities or with business people, they get inspired, encouraged and sometimes genuinely transformed from their previous way of thinking.

I was in the states in my dream part of a special forces unit which is strange haha for me that is. There were three of us assigned to take down this gang and we got word that one of the members were in the vicinity so we were dispatched however as leaving barracks or base as it was fairly large I was issued a rifle I thought and the person who issued while saying it was huge bullet and that it was the latest gun in technology and that only I was the one issued with it he showed me the casing. I was so anxious to test the puppy out haha, we ended up taking down this guy as he lay on the floor, the others were trying to get out of him where the others were etc. I was trigger happy, I just wanted to let loose and try out this new gun and I said to my other partners man I just going to nail this guy. They said just hang on man and so I turned rifle to wall which was half wood and half window and open up. It fired one shot and left red dots and peppered holes all in the wall. Now one of the other team yelled out man that's the map of Alabama. It must of had red die in it also as the red die had made town placements and the shot holes had made the shape f the map of Alabama. Really weird stuff haha.

Anyways in the dream from that point I knew it was a shotgun obviously because of the many holes it made when shot. So I turned the gun to this gangster bad dude guy haha, funny thing I used to be one of them!! and opened fire on him until I had used all me ammunition. We got called to another guy to take him down but I had no ammunition left so I had to return to get reissued some more ammo. I got back and went to armoury only to hear them ask what weapon you been using so we know what ammo to give. I said I had no clue as i had left it behind and when issued it wasn't told the name of the gun. So I was told to go to the General or whatever the guy was.... so I look all over for him and ran into him. I explained situation of running out of ammo and that I needed more and I had no clue to what sort of gun I was issued as it was only assigned to me and was brand new. He asked me what it fired like and so I explained when ya shoot it fires in the map of Alabama. He said oh that is a "Curtis Wilbanks" Now I remembered Curtis in my dream because I used to smoke Meth "P" down here in Tauranga with a guy by the name Curtis so when I awoke I remembered the name.

I said to him yeh the bullets shoot in the map of Alabama but could I get them s they shoot in the map of New Zealand. And at that I awoke.
Now just to make a note! I don't have any knowledge of guns or army, special forces. which ir really out there.
So i looked on the internet to see if I could find something and the only thing I could fine relating to was Curtis Wilbanks aka: Gun Docc *Specialized Shotgun Work*
now this is really freaky. This guy can customize shotguns according to what you hunting, he can change the pattern as well as the intensity of the shot. And he lives in next state to the right of Alabama. Weird huh
http://www.guncustomizing.com/
http://www.guncustomizing.com/targets.htm

Anyways last year 2007 I was in Mexico with David Hogan "Freedom Ministries" as a visitor and another visitor that I met over there was from Alabama. I hadn't heard from him in ages and he emailed me regarding a movement He and his friend had set this up in their basement some time ago and now it had grown and where making an impact on their area. He asked if we would like to start it here in NZ and if he could come over and start it. We are waiting as he cant come till say March of next year but are praying into the opportunity as it would have to be awesome especially with a NZ indigenous feel.

Another thing too is! that I went to a conference just this month through "Fusion Church" Jack and Gaye Stradwick! and two visiting speakers were over from the states. In the middle of one preaching he mentioned he was from Alabama and he Steven Shelley called me out. I was only one called out by him and on two days also really weird. My wife had said previous that I was to attend as she felt I was going to receive an impartation but to tell ya truth I wasn't that keen to attend. We had had rough month with many things and I was feeling exhausted physically and emotionally due to much undue circumstances.

Anyway he called me out saying that he felt that he was to impart amongst other things I cant remember as I was whacked seriously. I never usually go down like others but I did this time violently haha.

exciting stuff
C'mon Jesus

When God calls, a gun sounds, and a marathon begins. A life of service. A lifetime of measured steps which (because of the distance to be covered) take in stride the potholes along the way. Disappointment. Tears. Rejection. Exhaustion. Failure. Loss. A cross I think he called it. The One who finished first, who near the end of his long-distance race (though winded) sighed "I thirst!" It was what he saw beyond the finish line that bade him stay his course. A faithful finish. And his Father's proud "well done!"

It's true. Persistence has its price tags. But also its rewards! Like the rush that comes when you run through the pain and find a second wind (when you want to cash it in). But don't forget the hush. That's another marathon quest. That quiet contentment that steadies your steps on "a long obedience in the same direction." The knowledge that you're being true to what God called you to do and to that which you promised you would.

Along the way, you've had your opportunities to learn endurance and in the process make a difference for Christ and His Kingdom. Because of your determination to not give up or in, there are those throughout this nation (and beyond) who have heard the call of God and joined the race.

You've paced yourself well, and now as you find your full stride, would you allow us to run at your side? After all, what you've attained is the goal that we seek. Strong, not weak. Strong, not wilting. Not bailing out, but holding out to the end. Perseverance. Persistence. Going the distance. Finishing well.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a Holy curiosity.Albert Einstein US (German-born) physicist (1879 - 1955)
